Council is developing a Coat of Arms for the Township. An integral part of the design is the establishment of a motto.

Contest Rules

• A motto is needed to incorporate into the Township's Coat of Arms
• The motto is to be a short descriptive or inspirational saying but must be no longer than 25 characters in length
• The contest is open to all residents of the Township except Councillors who will make the final selection
• The contest will be advertised as part of the Township's regular advertising feature, posted on the website and forwarded to the high school
• The list of suggestions will be reviewed by the Corporate Services Committee and 3- 5 choices will be brought forward to Council to make the final decision
• The prize will be $100.00
• In the event the selected motto was suggested by multiple residents then the first received will be the winner
• To insure that the date is recorded, all submissions must be received by either regular mail at 4432 George Street, Box 100 Sydenham ON K0H 2T0 or email at admin@township.southfrontenac.on.ca
•  All submissions must include your name, address and phone number.

The schedule is:

March 1st - closing date at 5:00 p.m.

March 14th - recommendation of finalists

March 20th -  Council Meeting - Final Decision
